This was a strange semifinal match where instead of watching two out of four most in form players having a cracker of a match, we watched two out of sorts players. Neither of them really deserves a final of the second largest ranking tournament this year. Both of them reached the semi playing bad, relying mostly on experience. This goes more for Mark Williams who played underaverage snooker this whole week. But that doesn't rule him out for the final today, cause i still believe that he will find inspiration knowing that he'll be up against by far the best player in last 5 years. I'm not a guy who'll search the statistics, but my opinion is that Mark leads in head to head with Higgins as well. (correct me if i'm wrong)

If Mark can pull John down there to ditch,everything is possible. If John dont image Marks game there is no hope for Mister Williams. Sorry.
Mark is in bad shape now,but hope there comes super final.

Murphy has been fantastic all week and deserved to win the tournament ahead of both Higgins and Williams. Tonight was a freak result, which happens in snooker, Williams said as much in his interiew after.

A privilage to watch Murphy this week, say what you like about him, he is a class act.

I dont think it was a freak result , Mark is always modest about his achievements .

If you are a follower of his you would know that he has done this sort of things more than any other player , when the tides against them .

I'm mad at those times too. But on Ronnie - because he takes some long pot when his long potting that day is 0%, or when he get impatient (that's most of the time) and just plays whatever shot.

But you have to give credit to Selby for successful mindgames!

I like 'efficient' or 'result(win)-bringing' decision making

Yes, that hurts. He can come back at his opponents whenever he wants it, but usually, he prefers to get out of arena
But still, Ronnie is Ronnie and I will not prefer a more predictable Ronnie
