Still can't figure out when Hendry is playing - it's either Saturday afternoon or Sunday night.

It has been for the last three years and it says on Ticketmaster unreserved seating.

You are right for the earlier matches and balcony seating, but for the semis and final it is not unreserved. Definite row and seat allocation.

I'm not sure if I can go. The last live match I went to was Paul Hunter v Neil Robertson at The Crucible. I don't think I'm ready to go to another after what's happened to Paul. I might wait until The Masters.

I am only going for some cues and balls to view!

OK mate, I stand corrected. I have only ever been to the first round of televised matches.

Must feel strange indeed. Well, its the same for me with The Masters as the 2004 final was my first live encounter with Snooker (Paul beating Ronnie).

Was in York for the Semi's two years ago (2004) and that was reserved seating

So, no need to hurry then. I will just remove Statman very gentle!

That was a great match and it;s what I'll remember Paul for. To come back from 7-2 and 9-7 down against Ronnie was fantastic.

I recently got a DVD of the 2004 Masters Final and it is really hard to watch it. I put it on last week and everything was OK, I was enjoying it. Then after a while, I remembered that Paul had died and I had to turn it off - it was too upsetting.

Yeah it still really has'nt sunk in for me yet. BBC did a very fitting end to the Grand Prix, a little tribute to Paul.

                            Hi everyone...newbie here!

I actually went to York yesterday to queue up for tickets...it was a bit of a farce actually as they had a 'technical problem' which meant we all had to wait 3 hours! Not so many people there though which meant I got front row tickets for all sessions of the semis and final. Unlike at Preston, I actually like the front row at York because it is quite raised and it offers legroom, something that is missing with the other rows. But to be honest, wherever you sit you get a good view. One woman had drove up from Sussex to get tickets!

I can't wait for the UKs to start as it's been a couple of years since I last saw live snooker in person...hoping that Dott gets knocked out in the second round by Robertson, and it's a Ronnie v Higgins final.

                              Hi Rich, welcome.

I hope you enjoy your visit, I would be a very happy man if your wish for the final came true. Ronnie/Jimmy would be even better though
