Will it be another surprise or will a "favourite" win?
You play a long slow deadweight red to a corner pocket. As it approaches the pocket, a kamikaze woodlouse crawls out from under the cushion and makes its way across the table, conflicting with the path of the red precisely at the point the red gets there. The red, needless to say, veers off course, and the future of the woodlouse is uncertain. - The Statman
- Ding Junhui
- Stephen Lee
- John Higgins
- Mark J Williams

I think the bookmakers will have Ronnie, Higgins and Ding as the favourites. I would agree with them if this is the case. I dont think Ronnie will be a runaway favourite for anything anymore though. Two or 3 years ago he would have been clear favorite for everything, but he has been famously inconsistent recently and the other players are closing the gap on him.
Also Robertson now has to be included, as hes proved he can win tournies, beating O'Sullivan along the way. An "outsider" or newcomer like Day or Selby could also do it if they have a good run. At the moment they would have more of a chance of winning than old Hendry has of getting it together.

Gee i was proved wrong to many times when i tried to make a prediction about who's going to win a tournament...
But i would name Ronnie and Higgins this time as possible winners in my opinion.
And as "second favorites" ...if i can call them like that, i would name Ding , Day and of course Neil Robertson , tho in a way i doubt Neil will have such a good run as he had at the GP.

I think Neil Robertson can make it back to back ranking titles. Ronnie O'Sullivan has been playing well so he is one of my favourites. And i also think ( and hope) that Matthew Stevens will do well.
i think it'll be ronnie this time if he concentrates on winning, not "enjoying" himself too much, second up will be ding, or else, there will be someone we could have never guessed again...
