Good news they have a sponsor.

Not a main market player or is it?

      Great news!
You think they deliberately delay the annoncement or it is just a hard deal to make?

It's quite a large electronics retailer in the UK Paul, it's not just online. They have a massive warehouse near where I live and outlets in pretty much every city in the UK, they've got plenty of money to fund a snooker tournament .

So yeah, great news, although if it's taken this long to broker they're cutting it a bit fine. Better late than never though.

I must say I'm very surprised. Is it possible they didn't find a sponsor til just a few days before the tournament or have they delibarately delayed the announcement (the latter appears absurd, I know)?

I think they've had it in the bag for a while. Don't forget that they'll have had programmes to get printed and of course the set needed designing.

Well, its good news then if a well established company sponsors this tournament.

                        Maplins is my favourite shop
You play a long slow deadweight red to a corner pocket. As it approaches the pocket, a kamikaze woodlouse crawls out from under the cushion and makes its way across the table, conflicting with the path of the red precisely at the point the red gets there. The red, needless to say, veers off course, and the future of the woodlouse is uncertain. - The Statman
