I guess that's just the way it worked out, with the numbers of tables available against the number of matches to be played in the time available.....

My guess is that they can only fit 15 matches (on 5 tables) in two days play, so at least one match have to be played in the 3rd day, i.e. tomorrow. They could have played one session of Holt's match today, but that means another 1st round match would have to be finished tomorrow.

        6-6 mcculloch vs walden

Fighting for the privelidge of playing Ronnie in the next round. Walden has just made a century to equalise. Looks like a great match.

No because there are only 15 matches in this first round becuase of Fu's withdrawal. With most sessions consisting of 5 matches it seems strange they couldn't have played the Holt V Mackenzie match

I forgot about Fu's withdrawal, but they couldn't really move the match forward after the timetable was published. Some people might have purchased tomorrow's tickets to watch Holt/Mackenzie. You never know.

Selby on course and a very dangerous outsider.
I have to go - tomorrow a very early morning again, poor me (hehe)
I saw that going differently in my mind

That would be an amazing set of predictions.
