Ding is a fantastic player, absolutely no doubt no doubt about that but I doubt he will ever add to the "character element" of the game because he walks around the table like an emotionless drone. I am not syaing I want him to laugh his way through a match but some expression that he was even half interested would be nice.
(And so I dont get howls of abuse I will make this clear that it's not an attack on Ding, Just my opinion)"I tried to be patient, but it took too long"

His lack of emotion will not go well with everybody, me? i like to think that he does not know the concept of pressure, he just does not have a reactive personality. Every match he plays is like a surgery, and he is the surgeon, machining his way thru the frames with clinical precision.
I tend to enjoy the pure on-table skill show more than what these players have to offer in some form of flavoury expression which is off the table.

maybe because he's not feeling too comfortable yet, all alone in a foreign country, can't speak too much english, difficult to interact with people, i think this is why he's not invited to the pot black. having said that, he's certainly very confident about his snooker and pretty laid back off the table i heard, he sleeps with a little toy dolphin/lion and plays electronic games all the time.

gensdon, I think the pot black thing is much easier. as far as I can see, the invited players are from top 8. Ding is not there yet - but will be. don't see a problem here. I guess Premier League organizers have much greater flexibility to choose players - so Ding was playing thereZIPPIE FOR CHAIRMAN

But in snooker being characterless is a character. You had Higgins vs Davis, White vs Hendry. It's that clash of personalities which can add something compelling to snooker.
You need the apparent robot players like Ding to add a constant. It magnifies the charisma of the opponent and at the same time adds a certain aura to Ding which maybe not exciting certainly is something and ominous.

haha..sorry im back..wow..all my predictions are almost correct..actually i chose stephen lee to win so ding would meet an easier opponent in quarter final..but its ok..ding would also trash peter ebdon easily..and in semifinal..he will meet john higgins..no doubt..and in the final..ding will meet one of this player, ronnie or mark williams or hendry..must be 100% correct..remember..all my predictions in northern ireland trophy were correct...go go go ding junhui!!!ive changed my id many times and i hope i wont be banned anymore..i dont want to make any troubles here anymore..im a truly snooker mania!and i love to be on this forum..

You play a long slow deadweight red to a corner pocket. As it approaches the pocket, a kamikaze woodlouse crawls out from under the cushion and makes its way across the table, conflicting with the path of the red precisely at the point the red gets there. The red, needless to say, veers off course, and the future of the woodlouse is uncertain. - The Statman

I think you should learn to respect other people and do not use harsh language any more.
