  • The endless snookers on green started at 70 - 42 as far as I remember. I don't have the complete scoring now at hand.
I'm glad Steve Davis is through to the quartes. Everything's possible against Dott.

Well done Steve anyway. I think his game plan (over 17 frames) will be to attack Dott, so who knows ??
Davis's highest break was 91, early in the match. I don't remember the others - sorry - but no doubt someone will post them soon.

He looked very strong in going to 4-1 - his standard dropped a little after that, but it remained solid enough throughout.

Must have been an exciting match
You play a long slow deadweight red to a corner pocket. As it approaches the pocket, a kamikaze woodlouse crawls out from under the cushion and makes its way across the table, conflicting with the path of the red precisely at the point the red gets there. The red, needless to say, veers off course, and the future of the woodlouse is uncertain. - The Statman

Did you also go to bed at about 12:15a.m. during the 1985 World Final, about the time that Taylor was trying doubles and all sorts of things on the black?

                        • I do not understand why they have to make the 2 pairs in the top half draw finish their quater-final matches immedately within today. They can sandwich the other two pairs in the schedule and still have all four matches closed during these two days.

I am just worried Ding will really get very tired owe to such labouring arrangement.

                          • Carol, but then when Ding gets to final, he'll have one day more to rest than his opponent, because his semifinal will be a day earlier

                            • I think Carol wanted to say Ding could be so tired that this could effect his game and prevent him form qualifying so the extra day for the semis doesn't matter then
I saw that going differently in my mind

                              • Don't think so Wim. Other players will have to play just as much and as often as Ding.
