i didn't have time to watch the first session. but i can not believe ebdon is leading 6-2, is ding playing bad or is ebdon playing too well? is it a high quality match?

- he did at the start. looks shattered. too much travel etc....?

- he played very well for most of the session.

- most of it has been good quality from ebdon, with some good stuff "thrown in" by ding

Ebdon played well the first 4 frames. Ding played mediocre, missing a couple of middle pockets. He seemed to get in the groove after the interval and Ebdon looked edgy. It looked 4-3 but he lost the last frame. And conceded while he still had a small chance. Not a great match. not too bad. Average.

Ding looks tired and jet lagged, it just seemed to be catching up with him this afternoon. Ebdon was same old same old.

I noticed a very poor attendance at the start of play. Likewise last year. Just a handful on the right side.

Just came home and I'm delighted with the scoreline in the Ebdon - Ding match. So far, Peter has proven a very lucrative investment this week. Hope he pulls through.

Ding is a bit silly there, I think he should not have taken the last long difficult red, he should play safety instead. In this case the re- spot will never happen and it will be 6-6.
