I agree with what April said .. Ding had a few though days , he had to be everywhere , and win everything ..lol. He had great results in Doha, had a great run in PL also - to bad he had to pull out - , he's only human , he can't have them all.
Yep a kid , Wim . He's 19 only. If we compare him to Davis there , now that you mentioned him, that makes Ding even more a "kiddo".He's one of the "young guns " in snooker these days.

I'll agree on that one too, objectively speaking 19 is very young and Ding has been under such tremendous pressure lately, other players might not have got this far (especially the older ones...)
Ding certainly has champion quality, but he isn't superman. He will be at the top some day, perhaps sooner than some expected, but he just won't be winning this tournament this year.
Great final session in the Ebdon/Ding match. That long green by Peter was amazing. And the coolness with which he forced the respot in the 12th. I loved it.
Ding is only human and still a teenager. You can't win them all.
And I think there are going to be sparks in this semi.
As far as the last quarter is concerned...I shall abstain from commenting.
Well done, Peter!
Good to see Ebdon playing well, although I don't want an Ebdon v Dott final again, especially as I've got tickets! A Higgins v O'Sullivan match would be a much better prospect...
I'm going to the Hendry v O'Sullivan match tomorrow...can't wait as there's a bit of tension between the two and they've produced some superb matches over the years.
Being young like Ding has a lot of advanges - he can play without worrying too much, just playing like he feels, more natural. Anyway the asian games didn't do him any good - but that would be the case for any player whatever his age.
Pity Ding did not win. I would like have to see some other players in the latter stages. i have seen both a dott - ebdon / higgins - o'sullivan final. MIght go to the evening session of higgins - ebdon if its close. WEll, the pub is a good alternative anyway.
Maybe you should plan for earlier stages next time, if you like to see new faces. I'd rather see the in form ones though, mind you I've yet to see any live event.
No, I am pretty sure yesterdays match start times were changed, not todays I hope Steve won't play slow, as it affects the quality of his performance. The slower he gets, the more misses
Hmm, I think Dott and Davis are quite evenly matched in determination to win. Maybe Steve is more experienced, but Graeme is more consistent I think. Hopefully a close and exciting match - will be supporting Steve of course.
I hope Davis wins but I just can't see it happening
You play a long slow deadweight red to a corner pocket. As it approaches the pocket, a kamikaze woodlouse crawls out from under the cushion and makes its way across the table, conflicting with the path of the red precisely at the point the red gets there. The red, needless to say, veers off course, and the future of the woodlouse is uncertain. - The Statman
