          Well, guess some players just haven't got the right mind for playing at top level. I'm a bit like that myself, so I understand him perfectly.

            Well, yeah, it's easy to just give up, I do that all the time. Fortunately, though, I am not trying to make a living as a top snooker player!

              Sort of makes it a bit surprising that he has been consistently in the top-32, really.

              He put up such a good show against Ebdon at Sheffield – OK he lost 10-8 but he played a good match and had exemplary temperament.
