Where have all the refs gone?

Is it just me or are most of the referees in this tournament new ones? I have yet to see Jan Verhaas, Eirion Williams, Michaela Tabb or that scouse bloke. Does anyone know why these referees aren't participating in the second biggest tournament?

Michaela Tabb's getting around isn't she? She was in the Phillipines recently for the World Pool Championship, then in Rotterdam for the Mosconi Cup, and now back in York for the UK Championship! I just hope that she's sorted out her rising and falling intonation before I see her officiating again!

I know who you mean, but I cant remember her name! She was a ref at Grand Prix in Aberdeen, not televised tables though.
