Has there been any pre match interviews with both players? As snooker is not covered in our local press, I would like to know what both players have said (apart from the standard answers, they having the deepest respect for each other).

I agree with your prediction. It would be fantastic to see Hendry play well and give Ronnie a real match. But I havent see Hendry play really consistently well throughout an entire match on TV for a long time - and he seems under confident at the moment. He is probably still haunted by the 17-4 (or whatever it was) thrashing that Ronnie gave him in the World Semis, but I believe Ronnie is Hendrys "bogey man" now, and Hendry will just not be confident. The amount of frame balls he missed against Williams could be severeley punished against an in form Ronnie.

If Ronnie is not on his game, it might be close and scrappy, otherwise Ronnie is going to run away with it comfortably.

Maybe, but he's perfectly capable of beating Higgins! Just wasn't his day yesterday

Good arguments dannydog. Though, i remember Hendry having one or two very good matches last season where he showed his old form. The trouble was he could not get the consistency for the 2 weeks. His good match could be today! I am off now to a meeting at work. i will read your contributions later. Thanks so far!

The last I saw was from Hendry on Eurosport, he said
"I can't wait for the match. If I hit form I've got a great chance and it's an opportunity for me to test my game. Slowly but surely my form is coming back."

I haven't heard anything of Ronnie though...

I think it was just to say that you are not taking sides April... Which I find strange, I expected you would be cheering for Ronnie there...

So, if I say the match will be close then I don't think it's so easy to say whoever will win. I haven't been hiding that I am supporting Ronnie anyway, and I don't think I had to say it again this time.

I'm going to enjoy watching the match hugely today...!! i wish Hendo all the best, as he is "my second in command", and because he's been struggling for a good while now...need some positive reinforcements! But, with Ronnie in the form that he is, I can't see Hendo winning. Ronnie is a fantastic player and I enjoy to see him play very much!
