So we have our two finalists - Stephen Hendry and Peter Ebdon.
It will be a repeat of the 1995 UK Final, which Hendry won 10-3, securing victory with a break of 146.
I don't need to tell you who I'll be backing tomorrow but I know that it's going to be a classic whoever wins. I think it could go to 10-8 or even 10-9.
I'd just like to congratulate Stephen - at 5-7 down he looked down and out, even I thought there was no way back. You'd think after 20 years of supporting him that I'd have learnt to never write him off. Whatever the result, he has proved that he's still got it after 21 years in the game and it's very satisfying to see him in a final again - his 10th UK final.
Hendry's UK Finals
1988 Stephen Hendry 12-16 Doug Mountjoy
1989 Stephen Hendry 16-12 Steve Davis
1990 Stephen Hendry 16-15 Steve Davis
1993 Stephen Hendry 6-10 Ronnie O'Sullivan
1994 Stephen Hendry 10-5 Ken Doherty
1995 Stephen Hendry 10-3 Peter Ebdon
1996 Stephen Hendry 10-9 John Higgins
1997 Stephen Hendry 6-10 Ronnie O'Sullivan
2003 Stephen Hendry 8-10 Matthew Stevens
2006 Stephen Hendry ?-? Peter Ebdon

I was there when Stevens beat him...Hendry won the first 4 frames if I remember correctly, and Stevens won the next 5! Hope it's as good a match tomorrow...

Did anyone see Stephen's post match interview? It was great because he was having a laugh and a joke with Hazel, Steve and John. It should prove that he isn't a miserable sod all of the time.
The four of them have a good rapport and that's why I think Stephen will become a BBC pundit when he retires - he already does a few bits for them.
Isn't the whole ranking system a bit of a joke now though? Wasn't Ken Doherty number 1 for a while last season?
He was provisional number one going into this tournament, now he's 2nd I think, behind Higgins.
Don't forget that the UK and World Championship carry substantially more ranking points that the other tournaments. The UK Champion receives 7500 points and the World Champion gets 10000 - the winner of all the other ranking events gets 5000.
