It's not so hopeless for JP as he is only 3-5 behind now - hope he can manage a comeback and win Pity to see McManus losing - Barry looks to be in a good form, so looks like a winner in this match. Hope Alan wins more frames though, he's a fighter.

Although i have always liked Alan, i say 'come on Bazza'....

He is our only pro talent in norfolk and as i have practiced with Barry and know what a great talent he is, its nice to see him back to form and hopefully back in the top 32 where he belongs.

Personally i think Mcmanus belongs in the top 32 more than Pinches, but thats just a matter of opinion i guess.

Anyway glad to see Parrot is getting it together now and has equalised at 5-5. Maybe he saw this thread talking about his retirement.

Parrott proved at the world championship that he's still got a good game occasionally. Like Jimmy, he's well past his best but enjoyment is probably their main aim these days and if they want to carry on, who are we to say otherwise.
I totally agree. I'm definately not one of those calling for the old timers to hang up their boots.

Somehow John Parrott's case feels different than Jimmy White's, for me John Parrott is a presenter who is also playing a bit. So winning or losing, not much of a difference.
But of course: Come on JP!

Think so too, but not based on current form he shows, unfortunately

Good to see Gray playing pretty well, even a century - it'd be a surprise if he loses from 8-2 lead

McManus, still overrated, is playing as worse as jimmy White nowadays. JP is great , a bit like Davis.
I saw that going differently in my mind

awww, so Parrott out in the end. Tom Ford seems to be on impressive form
Interesting games ahead today: go Matthew, Dom, Ian, Andrew, Fergal, Ricky, Joe... and Nigel?

                    Joe Swail - Robert Milkins
                    Gerard Greene - Ricky Walden
                    Mark Allen - Andrew Higginson
                    Nigel Bond - David Gilbert
                    Matthew Stevens - Adrian Gunnell
                    Stuart Bingham - Fergal O'Brien

Dom starts off with a century, Bond likely to win first frame too. Oh, not easy to follow live snooker and live biathlon at the same time

Am not surprised that Bingham is in front in the match against Fergal - Stuart is a very good player, just a bit surprised the lead is so big...

sure he's a good player but I didn't expect such a clearly lead. at least matthew stevens is in the lead before the MSI against gunnell.
