i think allen is a top 16 player on current form but make no mistake hendry will be back - if he didn't believe he would not bother. i am happy to see mark williams show some form and also glad stuart bingham is bringing his A game to the table - this is looking like it might be the best tourny for a while.

Bar the first frame today Murphy has played dreadful as has Paul Davies. Maybe Murphy's form has been and gone in the early part of the season and he missed his chance for a title then. I hope so anyway.

Great to see Williams playing well again ! I indeed think/hope hendry we will back again soon. The UK is quite interesting with some new names winning, a new generation (with a high standard snooker) could soon take over the top positions in the rankings, would be mega good for snooker

                tv tables

                morning people...

is it only me or is anyone else fed up with the tv table politics??? I really got nothing against higgins/o'sullivan/robertson/hendry and the like, but why the hell do they have to be on the tv tables every damn match??? I'd have loved to see swail, I'd like to see ryan day, not to mention selby. but no chance. unless they are set against the mighty six or eight, they'll simply not show up on a tv table (that is, if they do not reach semis/final of course.)
I mean, what's the problem to mix a bit better and care about having different players broadcasted? I really don't get it and it ****es me off alot that during round one and two you always basically always see the same people.

maybe I'm overreacting since I had to rely on tickers for most of the matches I really cared about during the last three tournaments but it's frustrating to have a full broadcast and still not be able to see a single match of those you'd like to.

yeah indeed it would be nice to see some other players in the early matches of a tournament. Must be that the demand is too low for that kind of matches.
And it s only broadcasted on a few channels. It s not like football where you can see almost every match played in the world (way of speaking). It s the result of the low world wide popularity of snooker.

yeah but still I don't see the necessity to broadcast evey single higgins / murphy / o' sullivan match. murphy has his third appearance today, and if I'm not fully mistaken, for the third time on a tv table. I understand he's one of the best players there are, and I understand he's got a fanbase and people want to see him and whatnot. I'd still vote for more variety in setting up the matchplans for the tv tables, and I simply can't imagine that this is so difficult.
I'm simply unhappy since I can go and see a tournament max. once a year, and I don't feel like waiting until then to see most of the guys playing.

need to calm down now. getting all worked up is unfortunately not helping the matter.

I'm in serious trouble. Two of my favouriteplayers are competing. The Rocket against Holt. Who shall I support? Well, I just try to enjoy the way they are playing.

The Rocket was saved by the bell. Who will win? Snooker is the worlds most thrilling game. It is very tight in most matches. Will Cope beat Higgins for exemple? What i show!!
