in fairness to ROS, IMHO he was correct to say it, but TC seemed to forget again after being told, and then ROS looked disgusted. TC never forgot after that, then ROS had a friendly chat about it at the end of session. fair play, as it looked friendly enough at the end.
still funny though

Thank you, Sem, for the details. Yes, it all seemed polite and reasonable.
Yes, traffic rules, player always has priority over ref when the latter is respotting. Those who break the rule get points in their refs' licenses.
And isssuing speeding tickets. For...well...speeding!
Thing is, if the referee waits for the player to pass by – particularly someone playing as quickly as Ronnie sometimes does – he will then complain that when he's down on his shot, he has to wait too long before the referee's finished spotting the ball!
I think in most cases the referee does yield to the players, unless he needs assistance putting the long rests away or whatever.
exactly Statsy, the ref usually gives the player the right of way, but in speedy players it can have a knock on effect WRT their next shot, but in most cases, even with speedy players, theres just enough time, or more for the respot, though it can be close
That is funny. Can I player complain about a ref sharking him?
I remember I was asked to ref a match once, my first time, and it was actually a tough job. I did not realize it until then. Overall, the ref are very professional and doing a heck of a job.
Yep, Ronnie just wanted to stay in a good rythym and have an early look at the the next shot without walking around the ref. You can understand it when he's playing well.
I think Ronnie was being slightly pedantic over the whole ref in the way situation. I mean does it matter that much that the ref has to wait until Ronnie has moved around to where the cueball lands. I've never seen Ronnie do that until today and I cannot imagine him doing that to say Jan Verhaas or Alan Chamberlain.
As it was Terry Camalery (sp), I think he was trying to intimidate him and it seemed Ronnie was just out to be a bit of a **** today. Even when the cameraman came up to him after winning one of the frames Ronnie had to make a big deal out of it instead of just ignoring it as all the other players do.
And he wonders why people don't like him, well he only has to look at a replay of the match to see why.
The ref today got told by Ronnie to not retrieve the ball out of the pocket until Ronnie had walked around to that side first. Basically Ronnie didn't want to walk around the ref or wait for the ref to spot the ball as he was being a ****. Sorry but anyone who thinks Ronnie was in the right knows nothing about the etiquette of the game.
