UK back to York ?

Is there a chance to see the UK championship back to York ? or is it at Telford for many years ?
I loved going to York in december, for the snooker AND the city as well...

Well seeing as the Barbican, which held the UK, has now been demolished I can't see it returning to York any time soon - particularly as they have no other suitable venues.

Has it definately been demolished? It was still standing in October when i went past!

It was a great venue and i'd love to go back to York but Telford as a venue was fine.

think the baths were demolished, but the centre is still there.........

Yes the centre is still there (well it was when i was there last week).
The people of York are none to pleased with the council and their so called plans for the Barbican, I hear. The snooker could've been held there afterall.
