  • Martin Gould comes from 5-2 down to beat Dominic Dale 9-6. Williams wins the last two to go 8-7 up in a close match with Gerard Greene.
Doherty has lost the last two and behind in this frame - still 8-4 up.

    • It would be nice to see Rory McLeod qualify to play Ronnie O'Sullivan. He's always been a player I would like to see play on TV, but I can't remember ever doing so except for at the Grand Prix. I would really look forward to his match against Ronnie.

      • Delighted for Ken.

Possibly going to go tomorrow, no idea which matches to watch though, spoilt for choice.

        • The big surprise so far has to be Martin Gould coming through. I guess S. Murphy can see his first win of the season getting closer..

I wonder if Mark J will show up with the blonde wig on his head! (only insiders will get this one)

              Yes, only insiders!

After last night´s Premier league I thought you would say that about Ronnie.
Robbo's potting is so good he doesn't need to bother with positional play like the rest of the players. He laughs in the face of those who spend hours on the practice table perfecting their cue ball control! ~ Forman

                  • Looking good for Stephen Lee leading 5-1 against Hicks, winner plays Hendry, should be an interesting tie depending on which Hendry turns up whoever goes through

                    • Davis 4- 2 up against Gunnel. Steve just made 93 break.Feels just a litlle bit different staring that live ticker now, after I went to see Davis last friday in Turku ( Finland ) where he was playing an exhibition match against Finnish amataeur champion. That was a great night, althoug next time I want to go to a real snooker tournament . While getting the autograph I hoped for him one of the good days next monday Not luck, but one of the better days, that things would go his way.

                          • I just noticed, out of the last 32 players, there are 5 called Mark (+ 1 Marco) , I always thought Stephen was the most common name for snooker players

There was one afternoon session at the Crucible this year, where Mark Selby was playing Mark King, while Mark Allen was playing Stephen Hendry on the other table! Mark Davis and Mark Williams had played in the morning.

Yeah, I noticed that actually but then I forgot it. It's strange acually. Well the names for playing good snooker are Mark and Stephen But I've also noticed that a lot of the pro's are left-handed. It's quite odd.
