Yeah, I have to agree with you unfortunately. I can't see Ronnie loosing now.

Yep, Ronnie to win 9-5. Despite losing five on the spin, Ronnie does look like he is still determined to win this one. He may have rushed a few in the last frame, but that was understandable in the circumstances and now he has put a stop to the rot, I'm sure he'll seal the deal.

Haven't seen any of the Dott v Doherty match. Can anyone tell me if It's Dott playing well or Doherty just not taking his chances?

Its not a scrappy match as both players have scored heavily. both sides 50+ breaks and some centuries as well. Dott just having more consistency in the break building

Yes, Dott seemed to play well. Given how long it has been since he won a ranking match (year and a half+), I thought if it went close he might struggle to get over the line. Therefore, for me the turning point even though he would still have been ahead was the 11th frame when Doherty was 50 points up, but Dott won - if Doherty had won that it would have been 6-5 and it could have been a very different game. But, well played Graeme - just had a kid and coming back from his injury perhaps he is much more relaxed and enjoying it.

And another bad miss from Rory - ROS never (very rarely) misses chances like these. Looking like 8-5.

Losing that last frame as Mcleod has done him no favours, and now the writing looks on the wall for him! Shame in a way

Does anyone believe Rory has what it takes to be a Top 32 player, or is he literally too old to start improving much?

I dont think he has what it takes. He's just far to inconsistent on the whole.

I'd be surprised if he did, although it could be that he'll be spurred on a little. Probably played his last shot here. Perhaps this match will give him confidence (especially the three consecutive centuries) but the misses that he had when the game got close showed the pressure got to him. If he had the mental side of the game, then it could have been so different.

I think he had his 15 mins of fame and that's about it. Showed some nice touch though.

Rory became a pro one year ahead of O'sullivan. And just managed 4 times the TV stage in a ranking event. Miracle needed now, but who knows??!!
