I finally signed up for the ES player because of those sort of problems. I works nicely from Switzerland, with 2 tables to chose from, and different languages for commentary if available. From France, I only have French commentary and 1 table, but I haven't found out whether it is a problem with my PC or whether they are really insane on French ES.

Well, at the moment I am at work in Switzerland and can switch between the tables, on the weekend at home in France it didn't work
I thought it was maybe a problem with the old version of media player...

well I have to check my media player then, although I think it should be the latest. thanks for the idea! on the other hand, BBC with the your-freedom proxy that was suggested here earlier works for me just fine
