Higgins wasn't great either today, but I surely hope he beats Ding if he gets through.

    • BBc didn't change drawsheets title since GRAND PRIX 2008.
It's monday and it's still like this.
It is possible only in snooker.
Could you imagine sth like that in tennis(Wimbledon instead of Roland Garros or so).

      • Your lucky then gby4. Most of us on this forum have had to put up with his commentary for years now!

        • With Ding just one away from the line, Steve Davis has collected himself to make it 8-6 now, with two straight frame wins.
"And I'd give him my right arm to have his cue action - poetry in motion."

8-6 to Ding, but it might just be too late for Davis to crawl his way back. But if he gets one more frame to go 8-7...:snooker:

            • Ding wins 9-6. How different it might have been if Davis won that black ball frame earlier on in this session.

              • Ding wins, but Davis sertaily had his chanches and probably the best match from him in ages. ( or at least this season ).

                • Davis will be annoyed with himself though as he had his chances against a below par Ding.

                  • Hopefully both Ding and Davis get some confidence from such a tight match. They need it.

                    • Well Ding will have to raise his game in the 2nd round otherwise it's early to bed for Ding.

I hope for Davis to gain confidence (not so sure he does though, he will be really annoyed), but Ding not so much, I'd prefer Higgins to go through

                          • Despite the 9-6 win Ding is a shadow of himself, compared this time around, 3years ago. There are patches of good play, but also unbelievable misses. The consistency and never can miss a pot are all history. That Masters hammering has taken its toll. He needs to win a tournament quickly to erase those memories otherwise I cant see him coming back to his best and will be a second rounder, quarter finalist, no more.

                            • Please note, I have moved posts about the O'Sullivan - Perry match to the Second-round discussion thread.

Intermixed Ding - Davis comments remain on this thread.
