leave the guy alone. if he wants to concede its his match. these rules make is sound like he "has" to carry on playing.

he doesnt "have" to do anything. if he concedes, its his loss. no need to start a thread about it.

“I just got outplayed. It was as simple as that. I felt very cold, I couldn't make anything happen and you've got to give Joe credit for the way he performed. That's the story of my game for a while - good at times, not good at others. I'm just inconsistent and it's something I've got to live with.”
That's just honest. He knows where his game stands and what is ahead of him. As some pointed out he's just human. No he shoudn't have conceeded that frame. Surely he knows it. He didn't cope and will probably be fined, it's not the first time, it's unlikely to be the last.

That's all there is. There are bigger deals in life.

I agree and when reading my OP I made no big deal about it, just mentioning it, as it is an unorthodox way ending a frame, thats all.

the audience have paid money to watch a match, so are entitled to their full money's worth. as are the licence payers.

Ye and the audience know what ronnies like, but they still pay their money to see him. Its all part and parcel of seeing Ronnie O'Sullivan, u either see genius or a no show.

im sure ronnie became a snooker player because he wanted to be. if he doesnt want to play a frame or game he doesnt have to.

if u didnt want to play would you? i certainly wouldnt

Name me ONE more player that has ever conceded a frame without needing snookers?

                      How pathetic

'I'm losing so I'll smash my cue into the cue ball'

                      How old is he?

                      33 is it?

When Selby lost to Williams he just fired the pink up the table to concede. fine he needed snookers and wasn't gonna win but williams was still at the table and about to play a shot..... No-one commented on this!! I wasn't impressed!!!

Well spotted thinsy I noticed this it was very bad etiquette but thats the first ive heard of it. Poor form from Ronnie yes absolutely no doubt however.

Who will be the first person to play the 'depression' card?

(Also known as the 'being outplayed' card)

In-off can I just ask where your hatred for Ronnie comes from and your continual mentioning of the depression thing? Im not defending what he did today I just want to know??

I like him, actually (read my previous posts, assuming you can actually read)

What I don't like is excuses for petulent behaviour

There is no excuse for a 33 year-old behaving in that way (but doubtless many will present excuses)

What I dont like is silly sarcastic comments like "assuming you can read" How old are you?

And your second point is correct there is no excuse for what he did today.
