that comment was aimed at darth spud not yourself.
As for your comment about ever watching a final let me tell you that apart from this tournament (finances stopped me travelling to telford this year) ive been to every final of ther uk since 2004, sheffield since 1999, wembley since 1997 and a couple of welsh too so i think im in a very good position to back my comments up.
Whatever you feel about him is down to you but let me tell you that he cant be faulted as a person and as a player if you love the game of snooker, which im sure you all do, you wont deny he is a quality player.Always play snooker with a smile on your face...You never know when you'll pot your last ball.

Yeh he did say something along those lines and I can see yours and countless others point of view and how this would seem pompous. However, to be fair darth_spud if you had just won the world title would you not want to be on the televised table?Always play snooker with a smile on your face...You never know when you'll pot your last ball.

Gripping! What a fantastic climax to an intriguing match. Both players were nowhere near their best form but you could not take your eyes off it. Murphy just about deserved it in the end i thought, but it's not nice to see a match decided by a fluke! The decider was pulsating viewing, you can't beat it for drama in the a final. They would never miss those shots in a normal frame!
Fair play to Shaun after all the personal problems which he has had, winning the World and UK titles by the age of 26 is a mean feat. He will be conifident going to Wembley and Sheffield now. As for Marco, he will also take a tremendous ammount of confidence with him and i'm sure if he continues playing the way he has this week, he will take part in more finals.
Can't wait for the masters now!!

Marco was only playing at 50% of his normal standard. Although Murphy was also not at his best, he handled the pressure better and looked like he was in control most of the time. It was incredible how Marco hang on until the decider. He improved so much in the last two year and learned how to win frames when playing badly. His break buidling did not work but he has managed to win most of the close frames, which is a good sign.
Hope he can keep this momentum going.
If he could play at 51% or missed one fewer shot......Last edited by ncyaa; 22 December 2008, 06:56 AM.
