  • Round 2 matches

Trump vs Ronnie right now. 1-0 to Ronnie, though both had atleast 5 chances each to win it.

Trump had that frame controlled though I thought. He put Ronnie on 3 or 4 snookers (okay 1 was a fluke), but every time it seemed like Trump was in first. I've noticed that this happens quite often these days - he rarely creates his own chances + often messes up any chances he get's.

Anyway, all shaping up to be a good match. Still fancy Trump to win 6-4.

Ding vs Stevens is on the other table.

      Watching on the tv mate....sorry.

Trump wins the 2nd. Ronnie put in a 47 break, made a mistake and Trump cleared up to the blue with Ronnie needing a snooker. Ronnie then potted by the blue by mistake.

      edit:

ROS has won the 3rd with an 85 break.

Lucky start to the next frame for Trump. Missed the black, opened up some reds but left the black stuck between the brown + green un-pottable in the corner pockets. Trump now back at the table, 29-8 points behind.

A really strong Last 16 lineup so should be good matches. Only just turning on so will be watching ROS and Trump now!

The pot on the blue to go in and out of baulk and the pot on the last red by Trump were outstanding..

Great century from Ronnie...and after that some inexplicable gestures, using tongue and some kisses...

3-3 and Trump is 36 up with the reds in a nice position.

                edit:

4-3. Trump's potting is what seperates these two. Ronnie still making silly mistakes, as he usually does.

Ronnie looks like he's stopped caring again. 3 poor safety shots + Trump is in with a great chance. Ronnie was a bit unlucky when Trump missed but didn't leave anything on though.

                  edit:

Trump misses but again leaves nothing on. Fortunate...

                  edit: 2

Trump just fluked a red I think. Missed it but heard what the commentators were saying. Another poor safety by Ronnie.

Trump is definately having the run of the ball now.

Trump is unbelievable. Ronnie was 47-0 up (winning 5-4) but lost his position on the black and went for a safety. Trump fired in one of the best shots of the tournament - had he missed it was match over. Now he's faviorite. This wil be the second time Ronnie has been over 40-0 up, missed position and Trump has cleared up.

We're into a decider! To be honest ROS was quite unlucky there. He was snookered, got out of it and left Trump with an easy red. Trump missed the brown but gave Ronnie a rotten shot which he missed. Trump missed his next one and again left a very hard chance, which Ronnie missed. Then the exact same happened again, but Ronnie potted the brown, and the cue ball seemed to speed up, going past the blue + leaving a hard cut, which Ronnie missed and the white ball ended up going in the pocket. Trump then potted a blue to win the frame.

I've said all along Trump would win this. Extremely tense out there.

Trump just potted after a poor break from ROS.

But his shot selection in the previous frame was a bit strange.

40ish behind on the last red, he was left a free ball with no easy pot. He needed a snooker without the free ball so in a way it is understandable that he chose to take the free ball - but it was so easy to nominate brown and tuck in behind the pink to leave a very difficult snooker (the brown would have cut off the left hand side of the table).

Just shows you how much the BBC is committed to snooker. They leave the match at 5-5 when Judd is at 47 points and on a break to finish it all.

They couldn't care less about snooker, this is the truth.
