Fella, you need like 10000, maybe over 20000+ (guesstimate)hrs flight to become a decent paid pilot!

I wonder if he's close to that eh, hmmm, doubt it...

never imagined for one minute he would retire - just a bad day at the office - we all get that.

He's fully qualified to fly commercial jet airlines, not just little poot poot planes.

                      That surprises me.

He's had that much time flying?

                      You sure about that bud?

He has a private pilot's license! *a license for fun) i dont think he has got a CPL !!

So he can only fly poot poot planes with a ppl...

He gained his commercial pilot's licence in 2008. You need about 250 hours to get that. Since then he's been training on jets as the top of the tree licence, the ATPL needs approx. 1,500 flying hours which he would need to get a top job with a big airline.

But in the meantime he could be hired as a pilot to fly jets but would be unlikely to get a top pilot's job without his ATPL.

I wouldn't trust him to see an old lady across the road let alone fly a plane. The captain my arse lol.

In this interview here in 2009 he says... > ""There was a time a couple of years ago when things weren't going well, I looked at other things like becoming an airline pilot," he says. "Now I've got my PPL [Private Pilot's Licence] and my friend owns an aeroplane which I've got access to."

Carter's dead-eye under the snooker lights is also handy when zipping around the skies. "In a light aircraft it's very roller-coasterly because you're only doing 150 knots, and obviously on final approach, if the wind gets hold of you, it takes quite a lot of skill to make a good landing," he says with a little understatement."

I dunno i don't care really, he wont retire and become a pilot anyway will he ..

                                Peace out.
