  • Uk championship qualifying

Any thoughts on qualifyers next week? I'm sure Ben/Ian Preece are delighted with their bye in Round 2!!

I like quite a few sections of the draw actually. The one with Wattana, Milkins, Gould and Lee for example. Or the one with Doherty and Cope. It looks set for some interesting matches, especially later in the week.

Lots of good matches to look forward to here. Would like to see Wattana and Drago do well..

jimmy has really put his career on the back foot now he got 0 points for the UK which as we know carries more points so after a very promising start he will be outside the top 64 provisionals going in to the new year.

I don't know what's the problem, but same goes with me..

I would like to see Michael White doing well, but he has a dangerous opponent, Daniel Wells.. It'll be interesting to see how Stephen Lee is going to play, also..

Yeah, I was amused at the official WSA twitter thing earlier saying "UK qualifiers start tomorrow, check www.worldsnooker.com for the very latest" or something when it has been down all day

Wells/White is the stand out round one match for me.

Seems that we can't check the matches even from live scoring since World Snooker website is still down.

Let's hope it's just the Web site ...

Update: yess, site is back ... so some hope for life scores.

Yes, but I think his official ranking was higher than it'd been for a couple of years at the start of the season. Giving him a little bit of a comfort zone, but not very much of one admiteddly. So maybe he thought its now or never. It could put more pressure on the rest of his season though. But at least he will have earned 65k, which he probably wouldnt have got from the UK pie championships, even if by some miracle he won the whole thing.
