    i know how you feel

i have nothing against day and liang but robbo is now a multiple ranking event winner and neither of them 2 have won a ranking title and i thik they should decide 1 tv match on the quality of match and the other based on how much a player has achieved in the game.

I think it should have been selby v cope and robbo v ford on tv for session 2

the broadcaster and world snooker didnt agree with me obviously
Robbo Unbeatable in ranking finals 6 out of 6

    COME ON ROBBO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The two matches that i find the most intriguing in these first round matches is Cope/Selby and Hendry/Davis.

The Cope - Selby encounter for me is a very tough match to call, very similar to the Dott - Williams match. I think we will see a more improved Selby going into this and the longer matches should suit him down to the ground.

The other match i'm looking forward to is Davis v Hendry. I think this match could go alot closer than some people think, but at the end i do expect Hendry to prevail by a score of 9-6 - 9-7..

Well, Davis will surely create chances with his tactical gameplay and with Hendry's sloppy safety. Thing is I doubt he can score heavily enough to win that many frames.

Id love to watch Hendry/Davis which for me is the tie of the SEASON let alone tie of the round. Two declining legends of our game coming face to face with each other in the UK Championships I cant see another match in the round that appeals more.

Well you could have said the same thing when Davis played O' Sullivan in the final of the 1997 B&H Masters, when he played Ding in the 2005 uk final but he surprised alot of us me included.

At the end of the day anything is possible. We will have to wait and see..

Oh I'm really excited about this It's been far too long coming...

Mark Selby vs Jamie Cope is a match I'm really looking forward to/dreading at the same time! Mark really needs a win and he could have got an easier draw than Jamie, however I think he'll be up for this one and I'm hoping he'll play well rather than what we've seen of him so far this season...

I'm really dissapointed they're not showing Graeme Dott vs Mark Williams too It's such a good match up which I think will go down to the wire but they're not showng it!!!

They're my favourite matches today anyhow:snooker:

Shame, I was looking forward to Williams-Dott as well. Still, Maguire-Holt should be very interesting too.

Murphy-Greene might be less exciting, but you can't begrudge the defending champion a TV table.

Exactly....anyway i'm quite happy that this match is being televised as Gerard is a friend of mine, but also the fact that he does not get much tv exposure as it is, and when he is cueing well he is good to watch..

I am looking forward to this encounter, but it could end up as a very dull match to watch with both of them missing way to much. Still, I am keeping my fingers crossed for Davis

I should support Holt I guess, with him being my lucky dip player, but I am not very hopeful,

A good match in Williams-Dott is taken away, but I'm still sure I'm going to see Mark play this week on TV

I hope Gerard makes it an exciting match, at times he seemed to play really solid back in the past seasons.. He just needs to give it a go..

I haven't seen Gerard of late montoya but he has his own table at my local club and from what the manager told me is that he is cueing beautifully at the moment and fancies chances against Murphy.

I hope this is the case as Greene is certainly capable of causing an upset against someone of the quality of Shaun Murphy..

Well, Murphy will also have the obvious pressure of being the defending champion, so I'm looking forward to see some strong play, and I definitely don't rule out an upset..

It's only for me or the forum has gone into silence leading to the start of the tournament?

                            Sorry for the offtopic.
Does anybody know of way to watch bbc online outside the UK? Here in Romania, the only channel that would show any snooker is Eurosport, and today they'll only show some snooker starting around 1900 or something like that. I checked online, and the online version of BBC is for UK only
Any help would be highly appreciated.
                            Thanks.

Thank you for that. I haven't really tried anything like that before, but I'll try it. Everyday is a good day to learn something new, right?
