From what I've seen, Hendry and Davis are not playing well at all. I'm going to take back my statement that the winner of Selby-Cope could be in trouble in the 2nd round.

Walden has responded well it seems, could take all four after the interval.

Some fightback by Ricly Walden...at one stage he was 4-0 down to Higgins, but incredibly has now levelled the match at 4-4..

It's been a somewhat strange 1st session. Hendry, despite making 2 centuries, has not played well at all. Davis has not made a halfcentury even, and still looks decent in patches. 4 all is probably fair as neither players has stamped his authority on the match.

ok, it looks like 5-3 to Stephen Lee but I'm pretty pleased with that considering Mark was 4-1 down at one point. He can still win from 5-3 behind.

EDIT: lee finishes the session with a 141 break. Impressive

yes 4.4 on reflection seems to be about right any one knows what went wrong in higgins match heard he was 4.1 up ending up 4.4 though
