I think the opening pot from Higgins in the decider really set the tone for that frame. I bet Walden had it somewhere in the back of his mind when he played that poor positional shot from the red over the pocket.
Before the tournament I said I wasn't sure if Higgins could hold his good form for much longer. But he does seem like he's on it again. I wonder if Robertson is as well.

Great day of snooker today.
It was much better in terms of quality, I agree..
And I'm glad Stephen Lee won
Finally, come on Ronnie!!
All the way Mark J!!
I understand nothing from snooker. - Dedicated to jrc750!
2 days in and there have already been 16 tons made. If this kind of standard continues we could quite easily be looking a figure over 50 centurys come the end of the tournament..
"Statistics won't tell you much about me. I play for love, not records."
That's funny because Steve just twittred "alll the players agree that these Star tables are tighter than the Riley ones last year. 100 beak stats at end of year will tell the tale"

Having had a go on the cue zone one in the foyer, if that's set up the same as the match tables, then I agree. The table they had at the cue zone at the crucible last season was great. Couldn't miss on it, but the one in telford is a tight table.
On another note, great win for Steve Lee, top lad and a great performance against a Mark Allen clearly in form. Well chuffed. Cmon Steve
He did play well. I think he had problems beforehand cos I saw him talking to John Parris in the players lounge on Saturday. But I'm glad Steve won. I know him and he's a top chap, and playing very well himself.

Yes, I'm happy for Stephen Lee. It was a high class match which could've gone either way. The old cliche that it's a pitty there has to be only one winner in a match like that applies again..
