Indeed, well done both guys. And we all expected a close match anyway, Ro did his best to please. If he just played a bit better in the afternoon session... But then we wouldn't see this comeback.

Osullivan just outstanding coming back form 8 -2 , Well done Ronnie outplaying John like this. But the result counts, Higgins showing a lot of characther in the deciding frame !!

One can (almost) always count on Higgins holding himself together when it matters most. Great comeback from Ronnie, I still can't quite understand how he got back from 8-2 to 8-8 so quickly.. Shame he didn't play on for snookers in the end, although the reds and some coulours were acutely placed, but it seemed possible in this match.

I hope everyone that was moaning about a boring match learned their lesson tonight.

This was the second most exciting match I've ever seen. The pot on the black where Higgins was cueing over two reds? In my opinion the shot of the season so far, under the circumstances. And then the long green he took... Balls of steel!

But it took two players to create the magic tonight, so I take my hat off to Ronnie O'Sullivan. What a player!
