But with Ronnie it's getting typical as well to mess things up every now and then (how many chances did he have in the last frame? meh. killer instinct going. compare to selby's last frame against bigham!).

Those 2 initial centuries were more than enough to overturn Ronnie :/

Why on earth didn´t Selby try to pot instead of playing defensive on the red, now he´s in all kind of trouble. One of his selfclaimed negative shots.

I think Ronnie will announce his retirement either before the World Championships, during or after, he can't carry on the way he's going as he will be out of the top 16 eventually and I can't see him being motivated to turn up to qualifiers, I hope I am wrong but just have a feeling that he's lost interest altogether and this will be his final season.

On a positive note for the Welsh Open there is plenty of Welsh interest this year with Matthew Stevens, Ryan Day & Mark Williams all looking in good form.

That 6th frame last evening looked for a minute like it was going to be one of his sublime "riddle solving" scenarios we've seen many times in the past but it wasn't to be. I would have liked to see how Ryan would have coped in a decider and indeed if that would have spurred Ronnie on
