Eurosport was interviewing some of the players earlier in the week about the new format i.e first to four frames win,no mid session interval , and Ebdon said it is a terrible idea as the table doesn't get brushed leading to loads of kicks in the final frame or so

Fair play to Hendry. He's just written yet another piece of history in the world of snooker. That's way more valuable than a QF appearence, especially after his top 16 being safe for Crucible seedings.

Gotta agree with all the things said about the kicks. Matthew Stevens got a horrendous one, so did Ryan Day, at the latter stages of their match, and this really needs fix for the next season.

Fortunately, we now have mid-session interval back..
