Good decision not to make a judgement anyway.
No, no foul unless it comes into contact with any of the balls.

Even though Higgins made a few uncharacteristic errors, he sure ended in style with a fine pressure break.

Gutsy performance from Matthew, but JH showing once again what a tough nut he is to crack.

                  Well gotta Disagree?

Matthew had John Beat 23+ Up and Snookerd and he Took Long Shot on Instead of Putting John Back in Snooker!!....Absolutely Madness Decision by Matthew.

I cannot beleive the Way Mark and Matthew Played Today!

                  Im Gutted.

With hindsight it was the wrong choice of shot, but a gutsy choice all the same, I think he was just trying to be possitive.

As for MJW, jusst a very bad day at the office, as they say.

Silly last red that Stevens took. I'm all for "positive" play, but he was guaranteed to leave a red if he missed, therefore the safety was the shot.

Typical world-class clearance by Higgins. His nerve is iron.

I am also for Positive Play........But that Was Madness!!

23 Ahead + Put him Back for Snooker!!

I'm not a fan of the miss rule as it is generally implemented. However particularly given the straight pink he missed in the same bag earlier, I'm very surprised that never went back.

Put the snooker back. The best Higgins can do is nestle onto the red (which he probably would have done the next shot). You're then in control of the safety. Gotta be better than Higgins at the table potting balls.

I think Stevens got overexcited. Understandable. He's been away awhile...

Well when you're talking about one particular pressure shot/decision, the line between stupid or brave can be a fine one, often determined entirely by the outcome. But overall, I think Matthew's performance was gutsy. World No.1 v No.21 remember, and I think he gave it a good go.
