Solid performance from Higgins in the end. Carter just made too many mistakes after the interval, and Higgins was too good to let him get away with them.

A slightly disappointing semi-final it has to be said, though the result is not that surprising. Higgins was generally better in every department.
Hopefully this evenings 2nd semi will prove to be a much closer contest, and maybe even go to a deciding frame, now that would be good.."Statistics won't tell you much about me. I play for love, not records."
