Some twists in that first frame. It could be costly for Maguire to let Higgins of the hook, insted of three frames up, now it´s only one between them.

Yes, very important frame, with mistakes from both players. It will be interesting too see how the evening continues.

Maguire playing desperate shots now... the match is shifting psychologically.

Yes, he does. Maguire is throwing chances away - why does he deserve to win?

I need a little explanation, shouldn´t Higgins be docked a frame for making three misses. There were easier options on.

It´s hard to see Maguire coming back now. By my opinion he should have opened the pack in the beginning of his 44 break.

Worrying times for Maguire. He's certainly feeling it tonight, and Higgins is doing a good job of winning frames that early on Maguire looked like winning. If Higgins wins this twelfth frame it will be hard to see Maguire winning..

Another steal from Higgins. That's exactly what Selby failed to do last night. Maguire needs to play like he did in the first session now, breaks of 40 aren't going to be enough.

                          But he isn't.

Higgins is taking his chances, Maguire isn't. That's the difference.

Maguire desperately needs to make it 6-6 at the interval.

In two of the last three frames Maguire has avoided to open the pack, and in the end the result has been the same. John Higgins has won the frame. If he don´t kill off those frames, Higgins will win as he is a better defensive and tactical player.

If John dishes from here there's no way back for Stephen.

And a typical Higgins pressure break shows how it should be done.
