Certainly doesn't look like he shaves much. If the collar irritates him, just use a shirt of softer material.

The late great Alex Higgins wore a bow tie...up until the match was about to start that is. Then he'd rip it off. pure swagger...just class

I gotta say it is a Poor Excuse Especially when everybody else is Wearing One!

If the the Collar or Bow Tie he wears irritates him then Change the Material which won't Irritate him!

It is a Advantage Not wearing one as too be Honest it does Feel alot Nicer without Collar Done Up or Bow Tie On as I have found out in the years I been playing.

You feel all Choked Up when all done up like you cannot breath properly Especially when the Pressure is On which it is all the Time as its a Final of a Ranking Event.

True...can't beat the old doctors note.
I hate them aswell and always have it loose with the top button undone...forget about it after a while and still manage to play to my usual standard (which is rubbish, but nothing to do with the bow tie).
Surely he could handle that. Saying that, a floppy bow tie looks more naff than none at all.

Great analysis..One will be able to play much better without a bow tie, and only Stephen Maguire realized this over the years
