Andrew Higginson is gradually becoming one of my favourate players. He is playing some top stuff tonight. Would be nice to see him or journeymen like him do well in an event.

I agree. I liked higginson playing in The Malta Cup. I like the players who have been grinding it down for years on the tour and finally get some rounds under their belt! BTW I predicted a 5-3 win for the lad!
Another cruncher was Ding. After The Masters I was frightened his career could be in jeopardy. I hope I prove wrong but all the signs are against him. BTW another prediction that should be awarded double points IMHO!
Ding did seem to look disinterested when he was 3-1 and 4-1 down. I think his temperment may come under scrutiny again. I still think he will qualify for Sheffield because he has a very comfortable draw.

Ding certainly doesn't appear to be that mentally strong at the moment...if he meets someone like Ebdon or Dott at the crucible, I don't fancy his chances at all.
Higgins is on a downslide. Since York he does not seem very well. The odd losing match is nothing serious but its now 4 tournaments in a row he has underachieved. For Ding, In sheffield the crowd might be more sympathetic towards him. But i doubt at all he will qualify!
What the friggin' **** is wrong with John Higgins????
Maybe he was ill like Matthew Stevens? Or he had a shaving rash like Stephen Maguire?
There was something wrong with him because he left the arena for a "comfort break" during that last frame, mid-break, and on his return missed a straight green into the middle! Mike Hallet suggested that he might have a "tummy upset" which would explain the rush from the arena I suppose........
I think Ding will pick himself up when things really matter. Suppose currently he is a bit lazy about these small tournements and of course after the Masters failure. Hope he may concentrate himself well on the China Open and the Worlds.

He has used that excuse for the last two tournaments though

Oh for ****s sake. John has gone absolutely ****e. Even when he was 3-0 up he was playing ****e. He is ****e. What the ****ing **** of hell is going on with him?
Dont give me any bull**** about Higginson, Higgins should have won that game no matter how well or badly Higginson played. Higgins gifted him a chance on a ****ing silver platter every time he got in the ****ing balls. Its a ****ing joke.
