    • Superb century there from O'Sullivan. Effortless precision and striking of the cue ball. With King out of the tournament, i'm backing Ronnie to make it Ranking tournament number 20

      • Vintage Rocket. A break of 71 makes it 3-1 at the mid session interval

Based on his performance this year I don´t expect O´Sullivan to get in trouble, but it would be funny to see Trump getting a good run.
Oh yes he shows pretty good signs. Look at the result at the midsesion interval. He also knocked in a century against Hamilton in the previous round, a match which he comfortably won 5:2.

A win would setup a repeat of last years last 16 match with Michael Judge

Other than that, compelling match. Young Trump is courageous and has a great long game, shame about the positional side of it.
It wasn't a walk in the park for Ronnie, far from it. Phew, first round is always the hardest!
                        Aaaand century No. 512.

It's friggin' difficult to watch snooker without them fags, take my word for it!

48 isn't really a missed chance for a maximum (although techincally it is but you get my drift)

                          • Thought Trump looked pretty poor in the first half of the match. The interval seemed to settle him but he still needs to improve on all aspects of his game. I think he needs to slow down a bit, work on his cue action and cueball control and he might start to get results. Reminds me a bit of Selby when he first started out, he was quick and attacking before realising that this kind of game doesn't get results, unless you are O'Sullivan/Hendry class of breakbuilding.

Our commentators, jokingly or not, start mentioning maxis after the 4th red-black, especially if staying on the black is the more difficult option. I do get your drift but Ronnie's intentions were so clear on that one...
