It was indeed a good match, perhaps the best so far in the tournament.

This really was great. Fu against Robertson... I have a feeling it's going to be just as great as O'Sullivan-Higgins might have been.

How about Carter-Murphy? Payback time perhaps?

Yeah the Fu, Robertson encounter could be an absolute classic, and wouldn't be at all surprised if it goes to the wire..

As for Fu, maybe this time it wasn't a foul ... be there are repeated precedents. Ronnie (and Alex ) have to live with the legacy of their past sins (some more than 10 years old and never repeated) so has Fu.

No he doesn't because he isn't a cheat

At the Crucible he twice caught the object ball with his cue using the rest. Anyone who plays snooker knows this can happen and that, if you are concentrating on the main part of the shot, you don't notice.

If he had noticed, he would have also known that the TV cameras had picked it up, so to accuse him of cheating is absoluitely outrageous.

In fact, I shall send this thread to 110sport and you may well be sued.

But, of course, he's beaten Ronnie so he must be some kind of low criminal (oh, the irony!!!).

So, the rivalry is between Ronnie and Marco not Ronnie and Perry and not Ronnie and Selby!

Great victory but with all due respect to Marco he isnt going to rival Ronnie in years to come in winning tournaments as Selby will be.

And Joao and Very-tee what do you mean nice to see O'sullivan struggling? Explain, as it seems a bitter and pointless thing to say??

by the way im with you on this one and think marco is an honest player and in no way a cheat i just find this comment a bit silly.

Great victory for Shaun yesterday and it would be great to see him go on to lift the Welsh and push for that number 1 spot possibly with a solid China/WC.

I didn't make that comparison.

Let me put this straight: my friend Black_cat expressed her lack of respect for Marco Fu because she thinks he wasn't honest. People reacted to that post.
What I say is this: it's the third time in recent history there is suspicion of a foul by Marco Fu that the ref didn't spot and that he didn't call on himself or ask for a repeat of the video because he is in doubt. In the previous occurence it certainly was a foul and it was near the end of a major final. When such incidents accumulate - and even if Marco Fu is perfectly honest as he has the reputation to be - doubts creep in peoples mind and will inevitably come back when/if the situation repeats again, that what I called "legacy" . Exactly like doubts are raised about ROS sickness each time he produces a doctor's note because it has happened so often in the past. It is inevitable and Marco Fu and his fan will have to live with it.
I haven't accused him to be a cheat and I don't. But I must admit there is a hint of a question mark in my head.

As for "sour grapes", neither Black_cat or anyone suggested this had any impact on the outcome of the match. ROS played badly and lost as he himself assessed. End of story.

PS: The reference to Alex was incidental as I was just having a long PM exchange on this board with another member about the fact that because of Alex's past every incident involving him was put in the highlights. Again an illustration of the psychological phenemenon in object.

I hope this clarifies my position.

It does seem a bit silly now, I didn't mean it to be taken seriously. I guess I was just happy to see someone put O'Sullivan under some pressure and play well against him. Kind of like Perry in the UK Champs.
