Lets all pray together.
Surely Anthony cannot butcher this up.
Robbo's potting is so good he doesn't need to bother with positional play like the rest of the players. He laughs in the face of those who spend hours on the practice table perfecting their cue ball control! ~ Forman 2009 Grand Prix Fantasy Game winner
If i was in charge, i would re-schedule Fu v Robbo for 10am tomorrow and have the winner play the Semi-Final in the evening. Simple
Good shout and could well happen. I'm sure there won't be many spectators hanging around to watch that one and I'm sure they wouldn't mind being told that its too late to start. If this match goes on beyond 22.30 I think the organisers will call an end to that match as it would surely go on beyond 1am in the morning. I know time shouldn't really come into it but the players will have been up all day expecting to play around 7pm. To ask them to play 5 hours after that isn't acceptable IMO.

unbelievable slow play really. To think play started at 10am this morning, we have seen 23 frames of snooker in 12 hours so far. Over half an hour a frame on average and the Ali Carter match was fairly quick. I think there should be a new rule when Selby plays, the shot clock has to be used!
Firstly, quarter-finals should be played on two tables with two matches played in the afternoon and two in the evening. Roll-on roll-off doesn't work as tonight has proved.
Secondly, the BBC need to agree to let the final sessions of their televised tournaments start earlier that 8.00pm. The World Final has gone on past midnight over the last couple of years and the Masters final this year was another late one. I would suggest that the start time be changed to 7.00pm, which is the start time for the evening session in other rounds.
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees!!! You see that? You see that?

Of all the tournaments on the snooker calendar the Welsh Open is the only one that uses 1 table for the quarter final stage. I went about 8 years ago and we didn't leave until 11.30pm. Sitting through matches that start at 10am is just crazy really but as we'd paid our money and the best match was on last we had no choice really.
I totally agree with your point that they need to consider the viewers and audience more, after all without them they wouldn't have a game.
