I think the question is, who wants it more. Carter has been in this situation before and he really wants it having never captured a ranking title. Joe Swail has never been in this situation but he's been a professional for 18 years and he wants it just as bad now that he's there.
Part of me fears that Joe will be just be so delighted to have finally won a semi-final after all these years that he won't have enough left for the final. Might work out the other way though and turn out that he can play freely and like he has nothing to lose because the pressure is off him now.
Fingers crossed because it would be good to see a classic final to finish off what has been a cracking tournament.
Ali Carter to win by 5 frames i feel. As long as does not become a totally one sided affair i think we should be in for a good final. And also it will be good to see one of these win there first ranking event. Good luck to both players.

Captain is one of the best snooker nicknames, stop butchering it with the unnecessary spanish touch!
Robbo's potting is so good he doesn't need to bother with positional play like the rest of the players. He laughs in the face of those who spend hours on the practice table perfecting their cue ball control! ~ Forman 2009 Grand Prix Fantasy Game winner
