Swail needs to win this 12th frame one feels otherwise Ali could run away with it.

Taking the first 4 frames of the evening puts Carter 7-5 ahead and makes him strong favourite now for the trophy*.

*On the subject of which, I can't help thinking that World Snooker should have had a proper trophy made for the tournament, rather than simply stealing a tombstone from the nearest graveyard and giving it away.

Carter is in the zone, this interval can't come fast enough for Swail. He's only two frames down though which isn't a huge deficit if the interval causes Carter to lose momentum.

Carter still needs two frames so Joe is still in with a chance of winning, but with the sublime way Ali has been playing it looks bleak for The Outlaw!

                          • Well, that's it for Swail. He had his chances in the afternoon session to make it 6-2, now it is obvious that his scoring ability just cant challenge Carter that has finally woken up. If Carter could just beat ROS, so that he woudn't ruin any more finals the way he ruined last years WC-final. I feel sorry for Joe, he would have made snooker history as the oldest winner in modern era if I am right?
