I see Williams, Stevens and Dale have had their qualifying matches held over from Prestatyn, to be played at the venue.

Good decision. If it's good enough for the Chinese contingent and Tony Drago and the Maltese fans, then the Welsh stars and fans should get this little boost too.

Hope some support turns out for them now this has been arranged.

The Welsh Open is edging evermore closer! Do you think it will compare to the Masters? I think it's unlikely but if Ronnie and Selby are at it again at the final (assuming that they'll both be well up for it), we're in for a real treat! Selby is quickly becoming my #3 favourite player in place of Matthew Stevens, behind Marco and Ronnie.

EDIT: Actually - a coming back to form Stevens, winning the title - now that will be great! I want Stevens back in the Top 16 by the end of the World Championship. He's unlikely to win the World Championship this year but he definitely has a possibility of getting back in the Top 16.

I believe Lawler is a very slow player; maybe Jimmy cant get any rythym going today. Jimmy matches are usually very quick and He would normally be returning from the mid session interval to start frame 5 by now.

yes but thats no excuse is it...

you as a player has to dictate the pace of the match..if you cant do that you play in to the hands of the other man.

when youre at the table the other man can be as slow as he likes sipping his drink but he wont get near the table.

I've just seen the other thread about Jimmys 147 in reply to Ronnies in an exhibition the other night. Itmust be so frustrating for Jimmy that he doesnt seem to be bringing that kind of form onto the match table this week.
