Speaking of Asians, Thepchaiya Un-Nooh is another player I look forward to seeing on TV one day.
I checked and indeed he is All blame belongs to one of our local Eurosport commentators. He said Liu Song was from Hong Kong two years ago
Thepchaiya Un-Nooh has caught my attention with his recent results, as well.. But it's so tough to get to the venue stages these days, you never know when he will make his first appearance
All the way Mark J!!
I understand nothing from snooker. - Dedicated to jrc750!

Yes, he would need to get past Liang Wenbo here, and past Stevens in the China Open qualifiers. So I don't expect to see him this year. But you never know...
I can't beleive Jimmy blew it !!!!!!!!
I had other things to do when he was 4-0 in front, and didn't had the slightest doubt about his victory... when I came back later, I couldn't beleive what I was reading... What a shame... True Jimmy White style....
Jimmy lost 5-4 after a respoted black , and after leading 4-0
So sad. It must be some kind of a record. One ball away from winning the match or leaving your opponent needing snookers, and then loosing the match on a respotted black. I wonder if the world has seen such a defeat before.

Tony Drago has played brilliant this week.
His match with Michie should have been on tv - great banter between hem and two of the best shots I have ever seen played.
Tony couldn't get on the last red - which was tight on top cushion, as was the black beside it.
So instead of playing a colour safe or going up table to try and a get a snooker - he played the black as if he was in a snooker - across to side cushion and across to nestle behind the black dead weight - and he had Jimmy M in all sorts of trouble
or so we all thought!
Jimmy, who is well known for playing masse shots in exhibition matches, dug right down into the cue ball with an amazing amount of side and massed it off the side cushion to such effect that he actually arced right back round the black and hit the red full ball - two truly amazing shots.
and Jimmy didn't throw it away today. He lost a really tight frame on the black for it to go 4-1 and give a lot of credit to Ian, who then just frozen Jimmy out of the match. He potted one crazy black to stay in the match that was so thin he could easily have missed the black completely.
Ian should have actually won the last frame a lot easier but Jimmy battled back into it clearing up the colours to force the respot.
He said to me after the match "It's not so easy to get rid of Big Mac"!
Unless you've watched a match live, you can't assume things just by seeing the result.

Nice report Janie! Any idea why these qualifiers are not broadcasted on 110sport.tv? And will the rest of qualifiers be shown at all? Nothing has been said about this.
