They did Maguire conceded the frame so theres a break now....

What's good about (what you call) crazy/non responsible shots is that they get the crowd involved with the oooohs & aaaahs... Something not many players on the tour can generate!

Having watched him for a few years now, I'd say yes... He'd play those shots quite often (a) when the frame is safe (b) when he's disgusted with the way he's playing!

And don't forget he had a 3 frame-cushion and he probably thought he could afford to mess about a bit:snooker:

Imagine now you're Bingham and Ronnie has that 3 frame advantage and goes for some messing around... You woudn't feel any slightest string of disrespect in that?

Point (b), and crowds "oooohs & aaaahs" - I prefer him just to plain win instead of giving in for all of such reasons

No, I wouldn't... I would be gutted I missed the "many" opportunities I was given by a below par Ronnie!!!

Not a lot of people would understand what goes inside the mind of a player (especially a player like Ronnie)... He was playing bad, he probably thought "I'd play a few exhibition shots to please the crowd..." Who knows?!!

You'd prefer him playing plain snooker & winning while a thousand others might prefer him playing fantastic shots even if he loses... That's the most exciting thing about Ronnie... He won't just settle for "plain" snooker!!!
