I'm trying to come up with a reason why Eurosport advertises an another network with their Conan O'Brien add.

I'm with you on this subject.. Their regular ads were about rubbish cellphone services, now, this is even worse..

Back on the match, Robertson made mistakes, but Carter made even a worse to let him back in..

Day played a superb last frame, but apart from that, he couldn't get going..

Still, I can't give the edge to Carter with his performance tonight..

Cannot believe Day is in the quarters. Nerves of silk and and all-round annoying presence at the table. It's boring to see someone at the business end of a tournament who's just there to make up the numbers. In that case, i'd rather have Tony. He's not threatening the trophy either but at least he's entertaining.

Second that, even if they prefer a Welshman to go far in Wales. Would be so entertaining to see more of Tony
But he will not learn anymore to play with rest, and Hendry won't learn safety...

What a steal from Day and what a blew for Hendry....4 tournaments =4 second round defeats for Stephen....

Oh, why can't they both lose.
At least Day will finally be out!
And another positive side 'd be more chance for Ali to defend his title - would be a good kick to the ass to everybody else in the tour

What can I say? I got it completely wrong again.

I can't believe I had confidence in Hendry, and then he misses greens like that. He was the only player from my team in this quarter, so it makes me want to smack him.

Quite an interesting match though. I'm impressed with the way Day played the last frame, especially the tough red he potted when he needed two snookers. There's always a chance when reds are on the table. Hendry conceded a frame when he was 8 behind with a red on the table, and it's just laziness in my opinion. You wouldn't see Ebdon doing that.

As for Robertson and Carter... I expected a better match, but it was always doubtful whether either of them was in form after the easy first round opponents. Carter isn't playing well enough to win this tournament at the moment, but he's still in it, and has a chance to raise his game.

Should be a better day tomorrow.

As Dave Hendon said in commentary this evening both Robertson and Carter appeared to be flat, and that was very apparent in the overall standard of tonight's match.

I certainly was expecting to see a bigger crowd for what was on paper was to be an exciting clash.

Carter isn't showing anything like he did when winning this event last year, but after beating Robertson it can only help his confidence going into the quarter-finals..

Yesterday's results were 50% correct in my prediction contest:

Carter (5-2) Robbo (I picked Robbo to win)
Day (5-3) Hendry (Good job...Day...!!!)

Today's matches are going to be very2 interesting. With the early exit of Ding Junhui, I will say ROS is still the clear favourite into the QF, and hpoefully along with the likes of Mark Williams and John Higgins. I feel uncertain about the other favourites anyway. But I do have a little hope with Allen, Selby and Maguire.
