Masterclass of breakbuilding by John Higgins. This one could go all the way.

Exquisite cue ball control from both players.

Sensational stuff by both.. Great quality, and a tournament-high century break..

What else can you expect from a mid-session
        All the way Mark J!!

But recent head-to-head very very much in favor of Higgins (smth like 4-1 in year 2009, and the only Ronnie won was Shangai where Higgi was not on form).

Head-to-head stats mean nothing, an on-form John will almost always start favourite against Ronnie, he's been the more consistent of the two for the past 2 seasons. It will take a very special Ronnie to defeat John

I won't give up on Ronnie though

            Come ON Ron!!! :snooker:

Don't tell me he meant to pot that red.
Robbo's potting is so good he doesn't need to bother with positional play like the rest of the players. He laughs in the face of those who spend hours on the practice table perfecting their cue ball control! ~ Forman

There is always a possibility that type of shot will yield a positive result... Safety in mind of course! But he couldn't take full advantage & missed a relatively easy pink

Interesting frame, could have gone either way. Higgins has the edge now.

                    • Missing a sitter pink costs Ronnie the frame.

                      Cmon John!!

                          • Higgins couldn't score in any of his three chances, and you can't afford that against O'Sullivan. So, the momentum is back with O'Sullivan.

                            • Our local commentator called Ronnie's long potting solid

Never mind, they're always this bad, though..

Meanwhile, just as I type, Ronnie pots an incredible long red

                              • C'mon! Ali is in the final. We all know here who will win this semifinal.

And I'm quite looking towards seeing it.
