We all know that all players will not be in form, sadly..

I wish there was a way to make it possible, a tournament when all brought their best to the table..

      That's Maguire's draw actually.

For Higgins, his first real obstacle should be Robertson in the QF, and that's quite a nasty one.

Great steal from Higgins to take a 5-0 lead, that was exactly the kind of chance Carter needed to take.

Huh, got it wrong actually. He should meet Ding in the 2nd round, and then the winner of Carter-Perry in the QF, so not that easy.
muprhy is drawn with ding in round 2 , its maguire who has ebdon

Excuse me, but who is that someone else? Are you talking about Ronnie?

Carter gets another chance, by the way. Has to take it now, or he will be history as the defending champion..

Such a poor shot from Ali to get snookered on the intended reds. He deserves a whitewash, that's for sure.

Well, I was asking you, first of all

Ronnie vulnerable to more players than Higgins... So with Higgins out the title would be generally more open, not just for Ronnie.

At what stage would they meet - final as defending champ & no.1?

So Carter is finally let off the hook by Higgins. Wouldn't he love to make it 5-3 at the end of the session. That would leave the match open for the evening.

6-2 could still be interesting, 7-1 is as good as over.

Will Ronnie play the way he did in 2008? Who knows.. But, thinking that they will meet in the final possibly, it could be a classic.

Ronnie will have to overcome Mark J, of course, who is playing way better than his seeding suggests

I do think the BBC should have a look at their commentary teams. Darren Morgan has been excellent this week at the Welsh Interesting, informative, knowledgeable. Humour at the right times, not feeling the need to jabber on continuously, focussing on the match.

Ken Doherty has been promoted to co-commentating but has been a bit patchy so far. Bring in Darren! He's the exact opposite of Willie Thorne who is the Jonathan Ross of snooker commentators, i.e. his commentary is as much about himself as it is about the match

so the campaign starts here. WE WANT MORE MORGAN!

How exactly do they make the draw? Must be smth very strict & according to current rankings, right?
