Somehow I feel that Jimmy is more consistent than Davis, althoug the opposition he has met is probably weaker. But interwals wont do that much harm to White I think, he just keeps on battling. GO JIMMY!

Yes, I think the LG Cup meeting in February 2003 was their last meeting in a ranking event (that I remember, anyway), although they have played since then in non-ranking events. I think I have put some photos of them in action against each other during the Premier League from about 2007 in the gallery here.*

White is meanwhile 24-46 behind in points and 8-9 down in frames... can he force the decider??

*Edit - here are a couple of the shots

          • Sad news for White fans as his Crucible dream ends in a 10-8 defeat by Andy Hicks.

                • Meanwhile a very tense decider between the two Welshmen Wells and Preece, with the loser set to drop off the tour.

                  • I would like to see World Snooker do a better job of keeping their website more up-to-date, especially when dealing with the World Championship.

Their two headlines on the homepage right now are the rather misleading "White Keeps Crucible Bid Alive' and "Veteran Knowles Makes World Progress".

Edit - in all fairness to them, while I was submitting that post, they have updated it with "Hicks Ends The Whirlwinds Dream".

Preece is nowhere near dropping off the tour. Even with this defeat he will stay on.

Good news! Wells is finally showing some form, although it might be too late.

Are you sure? He won't be in the top 64 on the two-year list, and on the one year list he's even below Atthasit, who seems in grave danger of falling off.

                              1. Rod Lawler 6720
                              2. Matt Selt 6375

                              5. Lee Spick 6125
                              6. Daniel Wells 6100
                              7. Atthasit Mahitthi 5850
                              8. Simon Bedford 5700

So I apolagise and Ian Preece is off the tour. I am surprised because it looked like he had a decent season especially reaching a career best last 32 at the Welsh Open.
