It would be best if Davis drew Selby in the first round, Dais would win because he would be impervious to Selby's tactics (10-6 to Davis). He would most likely have Dott in the second round who he would probably beat, so he would be odds on to make the quarters by drawing Selby. In the quarter final he would most likely be up against john Higgins who would win, but if Higgins lost in the second round to Perry which is conceivable then I reckon Davis would be slight favourite against Perry and would have a realistic chance of making the semis. This is where it gets interesting: if Ebdon could somehow get past Ryan Day (and neither are playing well at the moment so it's possible) he could do a number on Ronnie and send him crashing out, leaving a Davis/Ebdon tie for the semi. That would be a 50/50 match for Davis, but it's not impossible for him to make the final. Given Carter's form at the moment I wouldn't be surprised if he came through the bottom half of the draw, but if he crumbled under the pressure again then Davis could steal the title!

It certainly wont be easy for Hendry & i could understand how some of his fans maybe concerned but i'm sure Hendry will up for it & will want to get one over his good friend. I'm really looking forward to this match!"Statistics won't tell you much about me. I play for love, not records."

Yeah it will, but it's going to bring the best out of Williams too, who is the fly in the ointment for everyone in his half of the draw. Let's face it, Williams winning the world championship wouldn't exactly be a huge surprise - in fact every multi-champ in the modern era has won the WC either 8/9/10 years after the first so he's due another one...

No your right it wouldn't be a huge surprise at all if he (Williams) won the Championship at all. His game is coming together very nicely now plus he has hunger back which makes him a very dangerous animal indeed!"Statistics won't tell you much about me. I play for love, not records."
